D’Antuono to Represent Team USA Baseball
Michael D’Antuono, an 8th grader at Roosevelt Middle School in Westfield, NJ has been selected to represent Team USA at the LABC (Latin America Baseball Classic), in the Dominican Republic in 2024. National tryout events were held across the United States, attended by thousands of athletes. Only a few kids from each region of the country were selected for their respective age group. The boys are encouraged to bring baseball equipment and school supplies to donate to the Dominican teams in the tournament.
The LABC has been held for the past 30+ years in Santo Domingo. This tournament is the largest international baseball event of Latin America, annually attracting teams from Latin America, Canada, and one from the U.S. Many former and current MLB stars have participated in this event.
