Westfield Foundation Grant To Mobile Meals
“The Westfield Foundation is proud to award a grant in the amount of $8,000 to Mobile Meals of Westfield. This grant helps close the gap of food and packaging costs to ensure they are able to deliver hot, dinner-style meals to those who are in need,” declared foundation President Larry Darrow.
Accepting the award was Mobile Meals Operations Manager, Josephine Walsh, who expressed her sincere thanks on behalf of the organization for the generous donation.
Since 1975, the mission of the Westfield Foundation is to provide funding support in the arts, health, aging, historic preservation, social services, and civic projects in Westfield and surrounding communities.
Mobile Meals of Westfield has provided prepared meals with free delivery for those in need of the service since 1968. The non-profit organization relies on donations for support. The operation is supported by a cadre of volunteers in shopping, packing and delivery.
