Student of the Month – Katherine Zhou
Berkeley Heights Public Schools
In an effort to showcase our students in BHPS who have excelled in either academics, leadership, or community, or have shown excellent growth in any of those areas, the district is hosting a ‘Superintendent of the Month’. For September, we honor senior Katherine Zhou.
Katherine is very involved in school activities and serves in numerous leadership roles. Katherine has been a student representative to the Board of Education since her junior year, is a representative for the Class of 2023 on the Student Council, and is an Executive Board member for the Understanding Asian Cultures Club.
She is the Captain of the Robotics Club and a member of the Technology Student Association Engineering Club, Science Olympiad, STEM League, Math League, GLHS Orchestra, and the Mathworks Modeling Competition. She was also the Captain of the Girl’s Tennis team. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and the Spanish National Honor Society.
Outside of school, Katherine plays the Violin as a member of the New Jersey Youth Symphony and is a Girl Scout.
