2016 Employee And Volunteer of the Year

During the December 14, 2016 Council meeting Mayor Anthony DuLuca presented awards to the 2016 Employee of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.
Mayor Anthony DuLuca’s remarks:
Employee of the year Lisa Wood
Lisa is well known throughout the Borough for her high standards, depth of knowledge, consideration and willingness to help. She is highly respected by her colleagues and appreciated by the people that she assists. Lisa is a very positive person and always exhibits a “win-win” philosophy. The combination of her high ethical standards and vast experience enable her to be an excellent mentor and exemplary role model to other employees. Lisa represents the Borough well as she strives for excellence in problem solving and willingness to go the extra mile.
Volunteer of the year Richard “Richie” Wood The 2016 volunteer of the year is Richard “Richie” Wood. Richie a wise counselor, a standard bearer of integrity and civility and highly respected. Some individuals stand out for their great qualities and this year’s volunteer is one of those people. He is well respected throughout the Borough for his generosity and humility; he is the “go-to” person, for a helping hand, for getting things accomplished, and occasionally for a swift kick where you need one most. Throughout the time I’ve known him, he has shown me time and again that kindness, compassion for your fellow man and selflessness are alive and well. But what is also staggering is how the efforts of one person, one particular person, can truly make a difference in the life of another, to a community.
