On Sunday, May 17th, The Promise Walk for Preeclampsia was held at the Oak Ridge Golf Course in Clark. The month of May has been designated as Preeclampsia Awareness Month.  In the United States, every 6 minutes a mother and baby face life or death consequences as a result of preeclampsia. The walk is organized to raise money for medical research on this life-threatening condition. There were over 350 people registered for the event.

One team was sponsored by Linden Police Department secretary Stephanie Feuerschwenger. Her team, in its first year, raised over $2,200.00.
