WHS Model United Nations Club Wins Outstanding Delegation Award

WHS Model UN Earns Outstanding Delegation Award

Westfield High School’s Model United Nations Club won the Outstanding Delegation Award for excelling in all parts of the annual conference of the YMCA Model UN Program, which was held virtually this year during the first week of January.

Approximately 100 Westfield students participated, with many holding leadership positions and receiving recognition: 

Justin Anderson was elected to serve as Secretary General for the 2022 Model UN Conference. Patrick Lanza was elected to serve as an officer for the 2022 Model UN Conference. Officers for this year’s conference were Justin Anderson, Dylan Berger, Jordan Horowitz, Nathan Lechner, and Eric Mordkovich. Catherine Angel, Aidan Berman, and Kavya Panjwani were named Outstanding Delegates. Colin Cimei and Nyah Wysokowski were recognized as Outstanding First-Years. Justin Anderson also was chosen to attend the two-week Conference on National Affairs, which is attended by representatives from all 50 states.

The Westfield High School Model UN program is run in conjunction with the Westfield Area YMCA.
