Christine Todd Whitman, former Governor of New Jersey and current president of the Whitman Strategy Group (WSG), will speak on Friday morning, September 16, in Lile Hall of Christ Church, 561 Springfield Avenue, Summit.
The event, a Book Review Breakfast which is being sponsored by the Summit College Club, will include a continental breakfast and last from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Both the refreshments and talk are free and open to the public. Parking is available in the nearby St. John’s Church parking lot and on the street. No reservations are necessary, but all seats will be available on a firstcome, first-served basis.
Governor Whitman will discuss her book,It’s My Party, Too: The Battle for the Heart of the GOP and the Future of America. Governor Whitman’s innovative ideas for renewing the Republican Party are perhaps now more relevant than ever.
The Summit College Club is a branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), which promotes equity for all women and girls through advocacy, education, and research. Since 1936, the Summit College Club has provided over one million dollars in scholarships and fellowships locally and nationally for deserving women.
