Westfield Student Musicians Selected to CJMEA
Westfield Public Schools
Fifteen student musicians from Edison and Roosevelt Intermediate Schools have been selected to perform with the Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) Region Band and Orchestra. “These prestigious groups feature the top young musicians from all over Central Jersey,” says Edison band director John Scozzaro who, with EIS orchestra director Amanda Gant, RIS band director James Doyle, and RIS orchestra director Brice Freeman, helped students prepare for the auditions. “The students had to learn an advanced solo, perform scales, and sight read a piece of music during their audition.”
