Westfield Rotary Club Inducts Fred Zellner as Newest Member
The Rotary Club of Westfield recently inducted new member Fred Zellner. Fred is excited to be joining such an active service club. Fred grew up in Queens and married his high school sweetheart in 1984. They wanted to start a family and stated looking for a neighborhood that had a good school system, a downtown, playgrounds and parks and commutable to NYC where they both worked. Fred worked for Con Ed as an Engineer for 41 years. They love Westfield. Their daughter grew up here and is now married, and has purchased a house in Scotch Plains. Fred and his wife are both retired and love traveling. The next trip is a Safari in Tanzania and Kenya to see the Great Migration and to stop by the David Sheldrake Rescue Reserve to say hello to the four orphaned baby elephants which they sponsor. Fred is looking forward to giving back to the community with volunteer work through the Rotary Club.
The Rotary Club of Westfield meets the first 3 Tuesdays of the month for lunch at 12:15 p.m. on the second floor of the Westfield Area Y. Guests are always welcome.
