Westfield Recreation Announces Programs for Spring

Westfield Recreation Spring 2021 Programs

It’s time to get active and join the Westfield Recreation Department on our mission to keep the community active and healthy while having some fun! For adults we offer a Zumba & More class on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. It combines a full body workout to lively music with a flair while you strengthen your core and increase your flexibility in a 50-minute class. Due to COVID guidelines, our class enrollment is limited so each participant has plenty of social distance space. We also offer an adult pickleball program (beginner & advanced level). If you have been looking to try this fun activity or what to improve your game, join us for our morning classes at Tamaques Park. The program is available mornings starting in April. Also, this spring, we will again be offering our adult tennis lessons on Thursday and Sunday mornings.

For youth fashion enthusiasts, our Fashion First Workshops offers a range of in-person and virtual programs. Our Spring Fashion/Sewing program is an 8 week in-person class on Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:15 (grades 2-5) and 4:30-5:30 (grades 4th & up) and will focus on designing and sewing a Peasant top. We are also offering three separate morning workshops during schools Spring Break: March 29 Upcycle a Bandana Top; March 30 Chanel Day; and March 31 Princess & Me Doll Day. For those interested in virtual activities, we offer three different online fashion programs: Fashion thru the Age; Cruise Collection for 18” Dolls and Fashion Design/Drawing.
