Westfield Farmers Market Now Opened on Saturdays

The Westfield Farmers Market, sponsored by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (GWACC) and Two River Community Bank, held its grand opened on Saturday, June 4th, at 8:30 a.m.
Located in the parking lot on the south side of the Westfield Train Station, the market will be open each Saturday through October from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will reopen for a special oneday event on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
“This is our 21st season, and it will be our best,” said Christopher Devine, manager of the Westfield Farmers Market and chairman of the GWACC.
Featured this year are organic produce, baked goods, fresh pasta, prepared food, organic coffee, honey, nuts, fine oils, natural seasonings and more. The GWACC website contains a full list of vendors.
Among the market’s highlights are organic produce from Chickadee Creek Farm, located in Pennington; organic coffee from Reign Coffee; apples and other assorted fresh produce from Donaldson’s Farm in Hackettstown; a selection of organic, grass-fed beef from Creamrich Farms in Bensalem, PA; a huge selection of potted plants, flowers and vegetables from Skeba Farms in Monroe Township; and organic dog treats from Little Bear’s Biscuit Barkery.
“This is my fifth year as head of the Westfield Farmer’s Market, and I want it to be our best year yet,” said Devine. “As the ultimate supporter of the Westfield Farmer’s Market, I want our market to be the premier destination for fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the state of New Jersey.” Interested in becoming a part of the market? Contact the GWACC office at info@gwaccnj.com or at 908-233-3021.
