The Watts Mountainside Community Foundation Grants Two Scholarships to Seniors
The Blanche M. And George L. Watts Mountainside Community Foundation granted $20,000 scholarships to two Mountainside High School Seniors. Each year, the Watts Foundation grants two or more scholarships to deserving Mountainside High School Seniors that demonstrate financial need, academic success, community involvement and merit. Our 2019 recipients are Samantha Felipe and Cailyn Jurczak.
Samantha Felipe is a graduating Senior at Governor Livingston High School and will be attending Union County College this coming Fall before continuing onto Rutgers. She hopes to become a Registered Nurse as a way to fulfill her dream of helping others. She has volunteered at Children’s Specialized Hospital helping teach children how to swim.
Cailyn Jurczak is a graduating Senior at the Academy of Information Technology and will be attending The College of New Jersey this Fall. She will be majoring in Interactive Multi Media specializing in 3D Animation and Video Game Design. She is a Co-Founder of Port Pillows which are small cushions that attach to seat belts in order to comfort people with Ports when riding in a car.
The Watts Foundation wishes both our scholarship recipients the best in their endeavors. For more information about our Scholarship Opportunities please visit mountainside.org.
