Victor Sordillo, Deputy Mayor of Warren Township and Sompo’s SVP and Leader of Loss Control Services, was guest speaker at the American Society of Certified Public Accounts’ CFO Conference held on Thursday May 4th 2017 in Phoenix Arizona. Approximately 150 Chief Financial Officers and CEOs were in attendance.
Victor presented on the topic of Supply Chain Risks. His message was that globalization has provided significant benefits but not without risk. He covered the history of supply chain management including discussion on several cases resulting in losses from reputational to catastrophic, reviewed major regulations requiring the institution of control measures, and provided an analysis of 14 major supply chain risks. He stated “The supply chain includes people, processes, materials, facilities and everything that is needed to produce and deliver a product or service with the goal of superior value through controlling costs and risks.”
