November 4, 11 a.m. – Performance by the Raritan Valley Community College Dance Ensemble. The performance includes dances created by the Raritan Valley Community College faculty, students and guest artists, and exposes the communicative aspects of the art form. It features dancers performing a variety of dances set to a wide range of music and sound accompaniment and runs approximately forty-five minutes. In addition to dance performances, the program will include improvisations and Q&A session. The audience will also have a chance to inspire movements that will be incorporated into dance phrases.
November 16, 11 a.m. – The Campbell’s Soup Company: More Than Just Soup by Marisa Bozarth, Historian. Marisa will discuss the history of the Cambell’s soup company’s humble beginnings to become a million-dollar company and the role local New Jersey residents played in the process. Made possible by funds from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission, a partner of the New Jersey Historical Commission.
November 21, 11 a.m. – Beating the Holiday Blues by Chris Kellogg, NightingaleNJ. For some, the holidays are not filled with joy and excitement. The Holiday Blues can be a particularly difficult time for the elderly and their adult children. Join Chris for an informative session on how loss of family, friends, and function impacts the elderly and can lead to the Holiday Blues. Learn proven tools and techniques to help manage the Holiday Blues for you and your loved ones.
November 28, 11 a.m. – Casimir Pulaski’s Campaigns in the Delaware Valley by Joseph Wroblewski, Historian. Joseph will discuss the history of Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski and how he fled Poland to become the first Commander of the Continental Cavalry and the eighteen months he spent fighting in the Deleware Valley before heading south and meeting his eventual death at Savannah, Georgia.
