Warren Schools Field Day 2021
Warren Township Schools Physical Education (PE) teachers pulled out all of the stops this year to ensure that students in Kindergarten through 5th grade had a truly remarkable Field Day experience. The day was full of smiles, music, water play, games, ice pops, and much more. The PE teachers were thrilled to see the students and teachers enjoying themselves during the event.
Mr. John Tsihlas, Woodland School PE teacher noted, “After a year of so many uncertainties, it was great to see a bit of normalcy on what turned out to be a beautiful field day at Woodland School.”
Ms. Laura Lamson and Ms. Aubrey Pellerin, Central School PE Teachers agreed with Tsihlas. “Central School’s ‘Royal Field Day’ was a blast! We were excited to finally feel a sense of normalcy and experience our first in-person field day in 2 years. Dressed in their royal best, students and staff competed in royalty-themed activities like the Water Tea Cup Relay, Castle Obstacle Course, and the Steeplechase. Huge thanks to Central’s Parent-Teacher Organization for supplying us with sprinklers, coolers of ice-cold water bottles, and ice pops to beat the heat!”
Mr. Sean Ulichny, first-year Mt. Horeb PE teacher, declared that the 2020-2021 Field Day event has been his most memorable teaching experience thus far. “Field Day was the closest day to normal we have had in a long time. To see the children smiling and having so much fun made my PE year!”
Mr. Doug Clark and Mr, Kurt Reck, the Angelo L. Tomaso School PE Teachers shared the same sentiments as their peers, “It was great to see the students playing and laughing together with all the changes that have taken place over the last year. They said it was the most fun they had in a long time.”
The district is looking forward to sharing all of the wonderful student celebrations and graduations.
