Warren Police Host Annual Open House
The Warren Township Police Department hosted their 50th anniversary open house and meet the officers community event on Saturday, September 10, 2022. The police headquarters was open to the public for tours, and various equipment from both state and county agencies were on display.
Kids enjoyed checking out emergency vehicles like the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Forensic Lab Truck, Warren Township Fire Department Truck, and the Somerset County Emergency Response Team Truck. K-9 demonstrations were performed throughout the event by Officer Hort and his K-9 partner Nikita. Spectators were able to meet Nikita, see a lesson in obedience training, and watch her perform both an article search and apprehension. The event finished with a landing demo of the New Jersey State Police helicopter.
