Dr. Matthew Mingle, Superintendent of Schools, and the Warren Township Board of Education bid farewell to three Board Members during the Monday, December 20, 2021 board meeting.
Mr. Marc Franco, Board of Education President, thanked Mrs. Lori Clar for her service to the children and community of Warren Township as a Board of Education member for the last year. Clar has participated as a member of the Curriculum, Communications, and Technology Committee as well as serving as the alternate representative to the Watchung Hills Municipal Alliance Committee.
In addition to Clar, Franco thanked Mr. Aaron Bellish for his service to the children and community of Warren Township as a Board of Education member for the last three years. Bellish held memberships on the Finance, Operations, and Security Committee, as well as the Ad Hoc Return to School Committee. Bellish represented the board and district at the Somerset County Educational Services Commission.
“I ran for the Warren Township BOE to contribute to the continuation of excellence in our schools. I’ll most remember the impact the Board has made to long term capital improvements within the district through the two most recent referendums. My hope for the students is that, through the support of school administration and the Board, they are able to reach their highest potential. “ – Aaron Bellish
Last but certainly not least, Mr. Mark Bisci, Board of Education Vice President, thanked Mr. Marc Franco for his service to the students and community as a member of the Board of Education for the last three years, including his current term as the President.
Franco has been a member of the Curriculum, Communications, and Technology Committee, Personnel And Negotiations Committee, Finance, Operations, and Security Committee, the Ad Hoc Strategic Planning Committee, the Ad Hoc Return to School Committee, and the liaison to the Warren Township Committee and the Watchung Hills Municipal Alliance.
Franco thanked his fellow board members and the administration during his opening remarks as the Board President. “It has been a privilege to serve on the board with you all.” Franco also acknowledged and admired the Board’s ability to respectfully work together as a group of nine individuals with differing beliefs to help serve the children of Warren Township to the best of their abilities.
“One of the most meaningful contributions that citizens can make to their community is serving on the local board of education,” said Daniel Sinclair, NJSBA president.
The Warren Township Board of Education, on behalf of the entire Warren Community, does hereby extend its sincere thanks and gratitude to Mrs. Lori Clar, Mr. Aaron Bellish, and Mr. Marc Franco for their service to the children of Warren.
