The Kenilworth Board of Health and NJDEP Division of Fish & Wildlife are emphasizing to residents of Kenilworth and to the public not to feed any wildlife. As per Borough Ordinance Chapter 212-11C, “No person shall feed, cause to be fed or provide food for wild animals and/or stray domestic animals within the Borough of Kenilworth on lands either public or privately owned.” If any person is in violation, you may be summonsed to appear in court and upon conviction may be fined up to $1,000 for each violation. In order to prevent any unwanted animals, diseases, and/or nuisances, the Kenilworth Board of Health advises all residents to properly dispose of their garbage in a receptacle with a secure lid and please do not litter.
Please contact the Kenilworth Board of Health at (908)276-2740 during normal business hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with any questions regarding this notice.
