Vibhav Chaturvedi – Student of the Month
Berkeley Heights Public Schools
In an effort to showcase our students in BHPS who have excelled either in academics, leadership, community, or have shown excellent growth in any of those areas, the district is hosting a “Superintendent’s Student of the Month”. For March, we honored Governor Livingston High School junior Vibhav Chaturvedi.
Vibhav recently won first place in the International Mission to Mars Society International Competition, a highly competitive and prestigious Design Challenge and Competition held by the Mars Society. As part of the winning team, Vibhav and the team presented the proposal for a manned mission to Mars at the 25th annual Mars Society convention at Arizona State University (ASU) in October 2022.
He is also the founder of the LEAPS Club (Leadership Experience And Public Speaking) at GL which was started in collaboration with Toastmasters International, and the founder and captain of TARC team (The American Rocketry Challenge).
Vibhav is active in Boy Scout Troop 368 where he holds the roles of both Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) and Junior Assistant. He recently completed his Eagle Scout Project – the building of a 130 foot long, by 4.5 feet wide, American Disability Act compliant pathway for the local community garden.
Vibhav is a member of the Math Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and National Honor Society. He is also a New Jersey Governor’s STEM Scholar.
Congratulations Vibhav on being named Student of the Month on your many accomplishments.
