VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 11TH

On Friday, November 11th, at 11 am the Martin Wallberg American Legion Post #3 of Westfield, will be hosting a celebration of Veteran’s Day. The celebration will begin with the gathering of participants in the parking lot of Lord and Taylor at 10:45.
Any veteran who wishes to participate in the march from the parking lot to the monuments in the center of town, are welcome to join us. At approximately 10:55 we will depart the parking lot under police escort. The program at the monument will begin precisely at 11 o’clock and will last about 20 minutes. There will be a few speakers and a presentation of wreaths. Immediately following this service of acknowledgement to all of our veterans, our Post will be hosting a light luncheon that is open to all.
The Martin Wallberg American Legion Post #3 is located at 1003 North Ave West in Westfield. Please plan on attending both of these events, as it is, after all, a day to celebrate our efforts in defending the rights and freedoms that we cherish and live with on a daily basis. We should all be proud of those who have served and are presently serving our country.
Besides sharing in this celebration, it will give you an opportunity to see some of the improvements that we have completed and are in the process of actually doing at the American Legion. Due to the efforts of many of our active Legion, SAL, and Ladies Auxiliary members, these necessary improvements have taken place. It will also give you the opportunity to see and talk with some new and old friends and acquaintances.
