Veteran will receive new home
Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity (Raritan Valley Habitat) is thrilled to announce the selection of its first veteran homeowner, Brandon Everhart. Everhart, a United States Army veteran, will be the proud owner of a new home in Somerville, New Jersey.”
Brandon Everhart currently serves as an Environmental Health Inspector for Somerset County, residing in Somerville. Prior to his role in public service, Everhart demonstrated his dedication and commitment by serving in the U.S. Army as a Civil Affairs Specialist and completing a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Throughout his service and subsequent civilian career, Everhart has exemplified the values of sacrifice, resilience, and a deep sense of duty.
Expressing his gratitude, Everhart shared, “I honestly never thought that I’d be able to own my own home, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity afforded to me by Habitat for Humanity. I can’t wait to get started!” Everhart’s enthusiasm and appreciation highlight the transformative impact that affordable homeownership can have on individuals and their families.
The newly constructed home will be located on Grove Street, featuring two bedrooms and one bathroom, providing a comfortable and stable environment for Everhart. The selection of Everhart as the first Veteran homeowner represents Raritan Valley Habitat’s commitment to serving those who have selflessly served our country.
