Vermeule Mansion Concert Huge Success

Submitted by Johanna Salvemini

The Friends of Vermeule Mansion, Inc., (FOVM) was greeted by a sellout crowd for their musical concert featuring local talent on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the Vermeule Mansion.

The concert showcased Sean Gough, professional jazz pianist and North Plainfield resident, who played piano to a full house featuring jazz improvisation over tunes from the Great American Songbook. Sean played songs such as “Stella by Starlight” and “They Can’t Take That Away from Me”. Gough thoroughly held audience attention as his presentation included anecdotes for the compositions played. He also included a few songs at the end of the performance from another local musician from Plainfield, Bill Evans. This is one concert attendees will not soon forget.

Concerts sponsored by the Friends of Vermeule Mansion (FOVM) are offered two to three times a year in an intimate setting and admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted.
