Rotary members help stock food pantry

The Rotary Club of Union

Members of The Rotary Club of Union and Hillmann Consulting of Union recently held a mini-drive to assist the Union Township Food Pantry. Members donated Stop and Shop gift cards and Hillmann Consulting matched the donation. Employees of Hillmann donated their time to go shopping to get the necessary staples. The donations and gift cards, totaling $1,000, were delivered to Mayor Manny Figueiredo to supplement the shelves of the food pantry during  the summer.

Each month the Rotary Club holds a drive or performs a service meant to positively impact on our community. In the past, drives have resulted in donations of goods or services to the Union food pantry, to Cornell Hall nursing home, and to area shelters. Established in Union in 1941, members of Rotary continue to work for and believe in the principle of Service Above Self.
