Union Rotary Club to host Eloquence Soiree on June 6
On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, The Rotary Club of Union will be hosting its annual Eloquence Soiree at the Galloping Hill Inn in Union, NJ.
The Eloquence Soiree celebrates students from the Union High School who compete in the annual Speech Contest for scholarships.
That evening, they will present the Rotary Excellence in Education Award to Randi Moran, Supervisor of the English Language Arts and Speech Contest Director at Union High School and Barbara Lamort, President of the Union Township Historical Society. We will honor all of their commitments to education and longstanding support of Rotary’s Marvin Orella Speech Contest.
The Speech contest is entering its 22nd year, and through the generous support of those that have attended the event, Union Rotary has been able to provide $110,000 in scholarships for local students since the contests’ inception in 1997.
This event starts at 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public to hear the speeches and celebrate as the winners are announced. To help raise additional funds, there will be a 50/50 raffle, Basket Auction, and Ad Journal. Tickets to the event are available by calling 908-964-6422 or on our website at unionrotary.org
