Fire Prevention Week Open House – October 12th
The Union Township Fire Department will be hosting a Fire Prevention Week Open House event on Saturday, October 12, 2019. The fun-filled, educational event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Union Fire Headquarters 1, located on Bond Dr.
During National Fire Prevention Week, a week dedicated to informing the public on the importance of fire prevention, the Union Fire Department hopes to promote prevention and awareness through fun, innovation and community. Some of the day’s activities are set to include:
• An obstacle course for kids
• Firehouse tours
• Seminars on basic first aid and CPR
• Extrication demos
• Meet and greet with local firemen
• Light refreshments
