Two Scouts Are Awarded Scholar-athlete Awards

Meet Colin and Nick. They are both seniors at Governor Livingston High School.
Colin is a Life Scout and Eagle Scout candidate, is a member of National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, and is a co-founder of the Robotics Club at the high school. He is a member of the varsity fencing team and is also a bag-piper and saxophonist with the GLHS Marching Band. Colin wants to study aerospace engineering in college.
Nick has earned 9 letters over four years in Cross Country, as well as Indoor and Outdoor Track. He has completed 10 AP classes in subjects from English to Computer Science. Nick is also a Life Scout, and is working on his final requirements to earn his Eagle Scout rank. His goal is to study either Computer Science or Computer Engineering in college.
Both Colin & Nick are Boy Scouts in Berkeley Height’s Troop 68. They have held senior leadership positions in the troop, and both have participated on Canoe Treks in the Adirondacks and backpacking treks at Philmont Scout Reservation in New Mexico.
The troop meets at 7:30pm every Monday night when school is in session at the Mary K, McMillan Early Learning Center, 651 Mountain Ave in Berkeley Heights. The troop welcomes all visitors, both parents and young men interested in learning what Scouting is all about. Colin & Nick would also be more than happy to discuss what scouting has meant to them over the years.
