Canoeing on the Delaware
Boy Scout Troop 177
In early May, a group of Boy Scouts and adult leaders from Mountainside’s Troop 177 braved the cold spring water on a trek down the Delaware River. The event focused on water safety and rescue, as well as proper canoeing techniques.
We will have many more troop activities in the summer of 2024, including a hiking venture trek to Philmont Scouting Reservation in New Mexico and one week of Boy Scout camp in the Poconos of Pennsylvania.
