Boy Scout Troop 67 announces new Eagle Scouts
Boy Scout Troop 67, sponsored by St. Teresa of Avila Church in Summit, is pleased to announce that three new Eagle Scouts have soared. An Eagle Court of Honor was held on May 5, 2019 to celebrate the accomplishments of three decorated Boy Scouts: Evan Charles Hybl, Daniel James Melka and Patrick Robert Murray.
The troop was founded in 1933 in Summit. The Eagle Scout rank is the highest honor that a Boy Scout can receive, and only about four percent of Boy Scouts nationwide attain this high honor. Evan, Daniel and Patrick made their Eagle Scout Promise in the company of family, friends, fellow Scouts, their Scoutmaster John Detweiler and a reception was offered by their families.
