The K-Kids Car Wash held at Valley Road School on October 8th earned over $1,600 for the Guzman family. Monika Guzman, mother of three, has been battaling an aggressive form of cancer. This event was sponsored by K-Kids and their advisors Mrs. Spence, Mrs. Belverio, and Mrs. Dzurovcik. Teachers, students, and parents lent their assistance in washing cars making the day a success.
Other efforts on behalf of Valley Road School include a teacher and her husband who were able to secure airline tickets for the Guzmans to travel for a medical treatment in Mexico. The Valley Road School Social Committee is also collecting food for the family to help their grandfather as he watches the children while the parents travel for treatment.
If anyone would like to provide assistance of any kind for the Guzman family, feel free to contact Sarah Badillo, the Valley Road School guidance counselor, or K-Kids advisors Paula Spence, Kim Belverio, or Sue Dzurovcik at 732- 388-7900.
