The Power Of Books

Remember “Take Your Child to the Library Day,” on Sun., February 28th

Reading to our children is a very important pre-literacy activity. The children were delighted with Mrs. Smith’s book selection and her animated storytelling. Reading to your child is one of the most important things you can do to prepare them with a foundation for academic excellence. Books have the power to benefit preschoolers in many ways. Some of the benefits of reading to preschoolers are a higher aptitude for learning, reinforcement of basic sounds that form language, and the attainment of valuable communication skills. A field trip to the library is planned for the spring.
Please join Mrs. Smith for “Take Your Child to the Library Day,” on Sunday February 28th featuring a free family concert at 2:00pm followed by ice cream sundaes provided through the generosity of the Friends of the Clark Public Library. Registration is requested for the concert. Please visit the library’s online calendar at http://www.clarklibrary.org/ or call 732-388- 5999.
