This year’s National Night Out was held on Tuesday August 2nd. The Green Brook Police Department provided refreshments and activities for the community.
National Night Out was first held in 1983; 33 years later the event has been carrying on strong. Celebrated in all 50 states, Canada, and military bases around the world, this event shines a light on the determination by law enforcement and the community to work in a cohesive manner to help keep their neighborhoods safe.
The job of police officers often entails more than just catching criminals and with such a difficult profession, having the community by your side relieves stress from the arduous profession.
