(above) The Linden Fire Department & Linden Police Department battled it out on the softball diamond on May 20th. The Battle of the Badges softball game was a first between both departments, but the two departments battle it out each year on the football field in which they will be playing later this year. The Battle of the Badges is to benefit The Linden P.A.L. Youth Organization, raising almost $500. As for the game, it was a fun filled close battle with the Linden Fire Department nosing out the Linden Police Department 25-5.
