SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA JULY CONCERT FEATURES GREAT MASTERWORKS

Observing its 18th season, the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts Summer Symphony Orchestra will present its annual concert of operas, overtures and symphonies, on Tuesday, July 25, at 7:30 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, 559 Raritan Road in Clark.
The performance will include Overture To Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss, Hungarian Dances No. 5 by J. Brahms, The Linz Symphony by Mozart, Dance of the Tumblers by Rimsky-Korsakov, Áncient Airs and Dances by Respighi, Russian Sailors Dance by Gliere, March of the Dwarfs by Grieg and The Beautiful Galatea by Suppe. Other musical selections will also be included in the program that evening.
Janet Lyman, NJWA Summer Symphony Orchestra Director, commented that “These are unusual and great masterworks of all time. We will play them with JOY!”. The musical event is free and open to the public. There is ample parking in the Zion Lutheran Church parking lot.
