Susan G. Komen North Jersey co-founders Deborah Q. Belfatto of Summit, Lisa Herschli (Denver, CO) and Kathy Hubert-McKenna (Berkeley Heights) were recognized at the Affiliate’s recent Pink Tie Party held in April at the Westmount Country Club. The event, which kicked off the Summit-based breast health/breast cancer organization’s 20th Anniversary (which officially began June 17th), also paid tribute to Medical Honoree RWJ Barnabas Health and Corporate Honoree Wakefern Food Corp./ShopRite. Some 475 guests attended the festivities including Summit Mayor Nora Radest. Thanks to the success of the event, which raised $570,000, the Affiliate will be increasing its grant funding this year to provide even more breast health/breast cancer services to underserved women and men in the North Jersey region.
