Dear Friends,
We are praying for our global family as we navigate this pandemic crisis.
We are so grateful for your support of St. Joseph’s during the past year, and especially to those who have offered prayers and assistance during these past few weeks. The outpouring of compassion from our beloved community has been incredible. Many people have stepped up to make sandwiches, donate food, and donate funds. Your on-going support is truly a blessing.
We had a different annual appeal draft prepared at the beginning of March, but have spent the past few weeks trying to stay open with reduced staff and volunteers so that we can continue to distribute food and offer prescription assistance. Our team has done an amazing job working together…even while standing 6 feet apart!
Now, more than ever, we ask for your financial support so that St. Joseph’s can continue to be a refuge for our neighbors in their time of need. And, we expect that need to increase dramatically. We know that many of you have also been impacted, and appreciate any amount that you can share.
During this pandemic crisis, please pray for those in our community who:
● Were already struggling financially, and are now facing job losses and reduced hours
● Don’t have the resources to stockpile supplies
● Are not able to access health care and a consistent family doctor
● Might come to St. Joseph’s for bread, but what they really needed was someone to smile at them and say hello
We pray for your health and thank you for your continued support of our sisters and brothers. May God bless you abundantly.
With gratitude,
Bernadette Murphy
