Summit Restaurant Week Photo Contest Winners

Over thirty downtown restaurants participated in Summit Downtown’s 9th Annual Restaurant Week with prix fixe menus, specials, and more. The week began with live music throughout the downtown on Thursday, July 20.
For the third year in a row, Summit Downtown, Inc. hosted a Restaurant Week Photo Contest. You can see all the delicious photos on Summit Downtown, Inc.’s Facebook page.
Melanie Cohn, Executive Director of the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, had the daunting task of choosing the Best in Show winner. “What a tough choice!” said Cohn. “They all look amazing (and make me hungry).” Ultimately, the photo of a dirty martini and popover at Roots Steakhouse, submitted by Karen Bigos, was awarded the prize for Best in Show. “It really set the mood with lighting and composition,” remarked Cohn.
Summit Downtown, Inc. and the Visual Arts Center will be partnering with the Summit P.A.L. for Arts + Cars, a Summit Downtown Festival to be held on Sunday, September 17. From 9am to 3pm, the downtown streets will be lined with classic cars, artists and their wares for sale, live music on stage on Beechwood Road, and children’s activities.
