See Summthing in Summit
SDI is announcing a new virtual event beginning May 16th and running through Memorial Day. See Summthing in Summit is patterned after the old newspaper game, “Where Is This?” where a photo is published and readers try to guess what it’s a photo of and where it was taken.
See Summthing in Summit will be played on Instagram @SummitDowntown. Each day beginning the morning of May 16th, a photo will be posted with the hashtag #seesummthinginsummit and people should comment with their guess of what the picture is and/or where it was taken. All pictures will be in downtown Summit, so SDI encourages people to notice the stores, the stores’ windows, the restaurants and all they can when they go out for daily walks (with masks please) this coming week. People can also go look for the answer to the photo each day during the virtual event too and see if they can identify what it is and where. The first person to correctly identify the photo in the comments on Instagram will win a $50 Summit VISA Gift card, good at over 100 businesses in the City of Summit! “We want people to visit downtown and support our wonderful businesses when they can reopen,” says Nancy Adams, SDI’s Executive Director. “So bringing people safely downtown with everyone keeping to physical distancing rules and wearing masks, allowing them to get out of the house for their mental and physical health for a fun game and a chance to win a Summit gift card seemed like a wonderful way to keep downtown Summit businesses in their minds. We urge everyone to continue to support the downtown businesses by ordering online and using curbside pickups and deliveries!”
