Summer 2020 Concerts and Movies on the Village Green
The City of Summit Department of Community Programs has announced its schedule for free summer movies and concerts on the Village Green.
Presented by Investors Bank, the 2020 Hot Summer Nights concert series will feature music performances on Tuesday evenings at 7PM during July and August. The lineup includes Daddy Pop on July 14, The Chiclettes on July 21, Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns on July 28, Brian Kirk and the Jirks on August 11, and The Nerds on August 18. Rain dates will be scheduled according to band availability.
The 2020 Screen on the Green movie series will take place on Thursday evenings in July and August with Aladdin on July 9, Abominable on July 16, Angry Birds on July 23, Frozen II on July 30, and Dora and the Lost City of Gold on August 6. The family dance party begins at 7:15PM and movies are shown at dark. The rain date is the Monday following the postponed movie.
The concerts and movies will be accompanied by the Pizza Vita food truck beginning on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
Movie and concert participants should bring a blanket or chair. All City of Summit events are alcohol and tobacco free.
Social distancing guidelines will be enforced. A mask is required if social distancing is not possible or to visit the food truck or a sponsor table. Sanitizer stations will be located throughout the park and masks will be provided to people who need one.
In an extra effort to prevent disease spread, please consider carrying out any trash that is generated during the event. No restroom facilities will be provided for movie or concert goers this year.
