All YWCA services are free and confidential.
Domestic violence is a crime that impacts people regardless of race, ethnicity, economic status, education, or religion; it is estimated to impact 1 in every 3 women nationally, and 1 in every 7 men. It impacts more women than breast cancer, lung cancer and ovarian cancer combined.
Domestic violence breaks all barriers of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender and socioeconomic status. It is a crime that impacts our entire community. It is estimated that 1 in every 4 women will be effected by domestic violence in her life, which equals more than breast cancer, lung cancer, and ovarian cancer combined. Domestic violence is estimated to cost employers in the U.S. up to $8.3 billion each year. An average of 3 women per day in the United States are killed as a result of domestic violence.
