Stirling Firefighters 2022 Venison Dinner
Submitted by Frank Reilly
The Stirling Volunteer Fire Co. held their 22nd annual Venison Dinner on Saturday, March 26 in their firehouse. More than 150 people enjoyed a variety of venison specialties that were prepared in over 10 ways by Stirling’s firefighter chefs.
Past Fire Chief Al Gallo was the Chairman of this annual fundraiser and was assisted by more than 25 Stirling firefighters, including Fire Company President and Chef Craig Tuma. Almost 700 hours was spent by the firefighters preparing for the event, including setting up, cooking, staffing, and cleaning-up.
All proceeds earned helps pay for training, firefighting equipment, and maintenance of the firehouse that is owned by the Stirling firefighters.
Guests came from all over central and northern New Jersey with some coming from as far as Charlotte NC and Queens, NY. All enthusiastically reported it is always one of the best and most enjoyable meals and events of the year.
The firefighters thank all who attended.
