Students from St. Theresa School in Kenilworth were excited when the STAR 99.1 Radio Station Van drove up to collect socks for the homeless.
Rebecca Augello, the “Listener Engagement Coordinator,” visited each class as the children showed her their Crazy Socks they wore in order to celebrate the event.
One on the Catholic School Week activities planned to Learn, Serve, Lead and Succeed was holding a crazy sock day and participating in the Sock Drop held by the radio station.
The National Junior Honor Society run by teachers Carolyn Pancurak and Nancy Pakulski collected over 700 pairs of socks. Rebecca said it was the largest pick up she did!
