Summit High School Planting Club Donates to Local Families
The Summit High School planting club is growing and donating food to Summit families through GRACE, an organization in Summit.
Student leaders Katya, Caroline, and Jolan have joined their fellow club members at the Summit garden to plant and harvest food weekly for the GRACE Program, which provides food for families in Summit. Club members head to the garden every other day to water their plot and once a week they work with the coordinator of the Food Pantry Team to harvest the foods that are ready to be donated. They most recently harvested beans, lettuce and onions, but are looking forward to their cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes and peppers being harvested within the following weeks!
