As part of the community September 11th memorial, the City of Summit is asking Summit’s children to help us support Summit’s first responders by donating childrens’ books for our Night Light Bags.
The Memorial will feature:
• Art Displays
• Service of Remembrance
• Music by Summit children
• Night Light Bags: A service project to aid our first responders when they find children in difficult situations.
COLLECTION SITE:
THE SUMMIT PUBLIC LIBRARY AND CENTRAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
A blanket, book, stuffed animal and glow stick will be added to each tote bag so that children in Summit facing difficult situations will know that light shines in the darkness. Join us for the service and then help package the Night Light Bags on September 11th, at 9:00 a.m. on the Village Green.
First responders gave everything 15 years ago. We will honor them by supporting our current first responders.
Thank you for sharing the light in Summit.
