Several Win Prizes at Cranford Historical Society Fundraiser

(above) Karen Positan (left) and her mother Ruth Positan were two of the lucky prize winners at the Cranford Historical Society's "Victorian Hat Box Tea" which was held on May 21 at the Hanson House. Other winners were Carol Buccini, Angela Sibilia, Evelyn A. Hofmann, Dee Wolf, Linda Willner and Maureen Wakeman. As the attendees sipped tea and enjoyed little sandwiches and dessert, they were treated to a PowerPoint talk on the costumes of the popular British TV series "Downton Abbey" by Gail Alterman the society's Costume Curator. To celebrate the occasion, people were encouraged to dress in clothes from the period. Proceeds from the event went to the Crane-Phillips Museum grounds and the High School Scholarship Fund.
