SPFHS Boys JV Soccer Team Recognized by Board of Ed.
The 2019-2020 Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School JV Boys’ Soccer Team, led by Coach Matthew Giannacio, completed the 2019 Season with a record of 11-6-4 earning the first seed in the Union County Interscholastic Athletics Conference Tournament. The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education honored the team’s accomplishments during their December 19, 2019 board meeting.
In a dramatic contest, the SPFHS JV Boys’ Soccer Team tied the championship game 1-1 with seconds remaining following a penalty and after two golden goal ten-minute overtime periods, the contest ended as a 1-1 draw earning the SPFHS JV Boys’ Soccer Team a Co-County Championship.
The 2019-2020 Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School JV Boys’ Soccer Team consisted of the following members: Kieren Adams, Luke Jones, Chase Robert Alber, Sean Kennedy, Gabe Bachman, Jordan Lopac, James Barth, Rory Moser, TJ Baylock, Calum Murray, Ryan Chaillet Grande, Roman Perrelli, Matt Cieslinski, Noah Sadler, Benjamin Cohen, Rohan Shah, Dylan Fei, Benedetto Skirde, Liam Ferguson, Christian Tardi, Joey Gale, Isaac Tu, Michael Hayeck, and Luka Culjak, Team Manager.
