Four students from Lincoln School in Garwood, New Jersey who participated in Scholastics Hardest Math Problem Student Contest in November 2018 were recently notified that they are eligible to compete in the final mathematics challenge for a chance to win a laptop and $5,000 for a college savings account. The contest, which was administered by Ms. Cafiero, was designed to help students in grades 6-8 show off their skills with ratios and equations. Sixth graders Nyla Castro, Richard Howard, and Matthew Simitz were among the winners along with seventh grade student Zoey Brown. The students are ready to show off their math and writing skills in Challenge 2 and look forward to finding out the results in April.
