Samantha Gargiulo
Samantha Gargiulo has recently been awarded the Mildred Beese WCW Memorial Scholarship. This honors Mildred, who was a former member of WCW for many years and was well thought of and very much respected. She served the club as Assistant Treasurer and was its Reception Chairperson. Mildred belonged to the Home Life/Social Services, Literature, and Antiques Departments plus served as Scholarship Luncheon Chairperson twice. A wonderful person, a wonderful friend, Mildred is sorely missed.
Samantha is the daughter of Cynthia La Pera. While at Westfield High School, she was the Brass Section Leader of the Marching Band and played the clarinet and French horn in the highest Wind Ensemble. She played and was captain of the softball team, held a leadership position with Bridges, was a church leader, worked as a child sitter and interned at a local lawyer’s office. Samantha is an exceptional student, eager to learn and a hard worker. She plans to attend Ohio State University and major in Psychology.
