Community Cooldowns
Borough of Roselle Park
Roselle Park will be holding three Community Cooldown events in July. This series of family friendly events is sponsored by the Roselle Park Fire Department and Councilman Jay Robaina of the 5th Ward. Community Cooldowns will take place on Tuesday July 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. near 180 W. Webster Avenue.
During firefighters’ pump and water hose drills, children of all ages will be able to run through the water showers to get sprayed down. Fire Chief Steven A. Thompson is looking forward to residents rejoining the team. “The cooldowns give kids a glimpse of how our firefighters train and prepare for an emergency,” he said. “I hope all of the kids will attend this summer event, meet our firefighters, and have some fun while cooling down throughout the month of July!”
