COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE – July 6
The Borough of Roselle Park is proud to announce a Community Blood Drive, set to take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Casano Community Center, located at 314 Chestnut Street, Roselle Park, NJ 07204.
In addition to contributing to a vital cause, all donors will receive a special bonus: a Mets t-shirt and Mets tickets, while supplies last. This is a wonderful opportunity to support the community and enjoy some fantastic perks.
Residents are encouraged to participate in this life-saving event, helping to ensure a stable blood supply for those in need. To schedule an appointment or for further inquiries, please contact Genevieve at 732-672-5281. Participants can also sign up online at nybc.org/sponsorusing code 72463.
“New York Blood Center is declaring a blood emergency due to a significant drop in blood donations that occurred around Memorial Day,” said Genevieve Toscano of the NYBC. “This in turn resulted in a shortfall of 2,100 units needed to meet hospital demand. This shortage places a strain on the region’s blood supply as we head into summer, a season typically marked by a spike in traumas.”
