The Rahway Police Department invites the public to join us as we join forces with the residents of Rahway and thousands of communities nationwide for the 34th Annual National Night Out (NNO), crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for local anti-crime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. NNO has proven to be an effective and enjoyable program that promotes police-community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation.
The event, which will take place on Thursday, August 3rd, and will be held near Elizabeth Avenue and Irving Street from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will be held in conjunction with the Rahway Mayor’s Concert Series.
The Rahway Police Department has used this event in the past as a platform for recruitment for our volunteer groups. Please contact Detective William Eicholz at the Community Relations Office at 732- 827-2079 for more information.
